Note:
When converting a solution from Sitecore 5.3 to Sitecore 6, module upgrades should be performed on a working Sitecore 6 solution as a last step when all other conversion steps are done.

Upgrade Instructions.

1. Backup any module layouts, sublayouts or templates you have customized.
2. Install the module package for Sitecore CMS 6.

               If prompted to overwrite files, choose “Yes To All” option for files.
               If prompted to perform an action with items that already exist in the database, choose “Merge>Merge” for items.
               If prompted to choose an option in case when a role already exists, choose “Continue Always”. You will know what is being overwritten by the path in the prompt dialogue box.

3. Update all custom Forms functionality according to the Sitecore CMS 6 API.
4. Copy all settings in the appropriate settings fields from Sitecore 5.3 to Sitecore 6.
5. Reuse the Forms module database from Sitecore CMS 5.3 (if you used it in Sitecore CMS 5.3.x solution).
6. Perform a republishing and test the site.
