Note about expected collisions
If you are upgrading from a release later than 6.0.1 SR-1 (rev. 090212), you will see warnings that some DLL files in the /bin folder have been modified and will be overwritten (for instance, Sitecore.Kernel.dll, Sitecore.Client.dll, etc.). Also, you might see warnings that /sitecore/shell/sitecore.version.xml, /sitecore/login/default.css and other files will be overwritten. This is expected behavior.
Also, the following files will be overwritten if they exist (in which case you will also see a "collision" message):
- /Web.config.Oracle
- /Web.config.SQLite
