The Toolbar is located between the Menu and the main area of the Security Manager; however, it may be toggled off and thus may not be visible. The toggle is located in the Menu at Menu » View » Toolbar.

 

In the Security Editor, the Toolbar displays information about the current User or Role and provides links for changing the User / Role and Domain.

1.  The User

On the left side of the Toolbar, the Toolbar displays general information about the current User.

In the illustration above, the Admin User is displayed. You can choose either of the two options from this overview:  

• Change the User by clicking the User name. This brings forth a dialog for selecting a new User:
   
• Send an email to the current User by clicking on the email address. This will open a new, empty mail to the User, using the locally installed email client (such as Microsoft Outlook).

 

2.  Domain

In the middle section of the Toolbar, the selected domain is displayed.

In the illustration above, the current domain is called Sitecore. But this may be changed by clicking the domain name, which opens a dialog for selecting another domain:

An example of another domain could be Extranet.

3.  The Toolbar Control

In the rightmost side of the Toolbar, two simple functions are available:

•  Hide (fold) the Toolbar. If it is already hidden, the icon will show the
•  Open (unfold) the Toolbar.
•  Close the Toolbar.
