Add a Facet to Category Navigation

Add search facets to a Category template.

Complete the following prerequisites:

Deploy the Integration Packages
To create Sitecore facets on custom catalog properties, follow the instructions in the Developer's Guide to Item Buckets and Search in SDN. It is also required that the search index contain a field for the custom catalog properties.

At the Content Editor

Create a new facet in the following location: /sitecore/system/Settings/Buckets/Facets.
Create a display name, add the fieldname to have the facet focus on, and then click save.
Open the catalog templates from the content tree at /sitecore/templates/Commerce/Catalog/Commerce Category.
Open the _Standard Values content pane.
In the runtime search facets, select the facet you created and add it to the selected list, and then click Save.
The facets you have selected are available on all category pages.
Note: You can use different facets for specific category page by modifying the Category Search Facets field for that category.
