Catalog Synchronization from AX

Sitecore Commerce 8.1 powered by Microsoft Dynamics is an integration between three products: Dynamics AX R3 for Retail, Sitecore Commerce Server 8.0, and Sitecore Experience Platform 8.0.

Dynamics AX R3 for Retail CU9 provides core product management, merchandising, and transaction services.

Sitecore Commerce Server 8.0 provides an edge catalog with integration with Sitecore. This lets Dynamics customers take advantage of the integration of the Sitecore Commerce Server catalog subsystem with the Sitecore Experience Platform.

Sitecore Experience Platform 8.0 provides a runtime commerce experience that can be customized to fit the needs of your business.

There are two options to run synchronization: using the console tool provided with the SDK, or using the synchronization task provided with the framework. It is important to use one or the other and not both simultaneously.
