Upgrading to new versions of the Dynamics AX for Retail SDK

The Transaction Service is dependent on the Dynamics SDK.

In order to implement the multichannel solution, Sitecore has extended the Microsoft Dynamics Retail SDK. The source code is provided for the updated version of the Microsoft Dynamics Retail SDK and Transactional Service to allow customers or partners to take new versions of the Dynamics SDK and integrate the new version into the Transaction Service. This provides the ability to upgrade to future versions of the SDK while maintaining service level compatibility with the Sitecore Connect integration processors.

In the event that breaking changes in Dynamics AX causes issues with Service Compatibility, customers and partners can create Connect processors to override the updated service API.
