Deploy the Merchandising Manager

Follow these steps to install the Commerce Merchandising Manager package.

To deploy the Merchandising Manager:

  1. Open a browser and go to  http://<your Sitecore site>/sitecore/admin/UpdateInstallationWizard.aspx to launch the Update wizard.

  2. In the Update wizard, click Choose a package.

  3. Select Choose File and follow the steps to install MerchManager.update with the Installation wizard.

    Note

    You may receive warnings and errors such as collisions. These are benign and can be safely ignored.

The Sitecore Media Library is used by default when Sitecore is used as your CMS. If you choose to override this, or are using Commerce Server 11.1 without using Sitecore as your CMS, you must specify a base URL to your media assets.

To specify a base URL:

  1. Log in to the Sitecore Content Editor using user credentials with the appropriate permissions to edit the core database.

  2. Navigate to /sitecore/client/Applications/MerchandisingManager/Settings/System/CommerceImages-Parameters.

  3. Set the baseURL field to the root URL of your media assets (for example, http://www.myserver.com/media/images/).

  4. Save your changes.

The Commerce Merchandising Manager is now available from the Sitecore Launchpad.
