The InDesign Connector panel menu
The main menu provides quick access to commands and preferences.
InDesign Connector allows you to pull content into Adobe InDesign right from Sitecore. You must log in to Sitecore before you can use any of the content in your InDesign documents. The IDC panel menu contains the log in to Sitecore command, as well as preference and plug-in settings. You can open the IDC menu in every Sitecore panel by clicking the upper-right corner.

Log in to Sitecore | To be able to work with Sitecore data in InDesign, you need to log in. To log in, enter your username and password and select the web server that you want to use. Once logged in, the panel menu indicates the web server that you are connected to. Once logged in, the log off menu item is available. |
Select a Language | Select a language from the list of available Sitecore language versions. Sitecore enables you to differentiate content in multiple languages. The available languages in the Select Language dialog box correspond with the content languages available in Sitecore. |
Use High Resolution Images | Select the resolution for your images. If you work online, you can only use low-resolution images that are extracted from the Sitecore media library. However, if you work on a local area network (LAN) with access to high-resolution images (stored on a file server), you can also use the high-resolution images without the need to run a server-based production setup. |
Clear Cache | To speed up the process of downloading information from the Sitecore server to the InDesign desktop client, Sitecore is set up to automatically cache data. That is similar to caching with your web browser. |
Plug-in Settings | When you log in to Sitecore in IDC for the first time, you must set up the web server connections. Click to save and control your web server presets. |

Tip
If you are not able to save new URLs, this might be because you have insufficient access rights to the folder that contains the configuration file. In that case, consult your administrator.
