Sitecore Performance

Sitecore is designed to be a high-performance rendering engine, providing a highly-dynamic user experience and eliminating the need for static file generation or inordinate hardware resources. In most cases Sitecore operates as a thin layer on top of the .NET Framework and a relational database providing XML and process containers for the custom layouts, sublayouts and renderings used to build the web site.
