The Maintaining role is intended for Sitecore super-users and developers. The role provides access to template editing features and reporting tools.
1. Application Shortcuts
The Maintaining role adds the following application shortcuts and submenus to the Desktop interface's Sitecore menu:
- Template Manager
- Development Tools
- File Explorer
- Reporting Tools
- Log Viewer
- All Applications
- File Explorer
- Log Viewer
- Template Manager
2. Content Editor Commands
The Maintaining role adds the following tabs, chunks, and commands:
- The Versions tab Reset command in the Fields Chunk.
- The Configure tab Change Template and Edit Template commands in the Template Chunk.
- The Presentation tab.
3. Control Panel Commands
The Maintaining role adds the following Control Panel pages and commands:
- Administration
- Install a Package
- Database
- Rebuild the Link Database
- Rebuild the Search Index
- Clean Up Database
- Globalization
- Export Languages to a File
- Import Languages from a File
- Reports
- View the Log Files
