You can access the Preview interface in two ways. You may select Preview at login, as shown in the screenshot below:

/upload/sdn5/end user/preview client/preview_client1.png

You may also open Preview from the Sitecore menu when logged in to the Desktop client, as shown below.  In this case, Preview opens in a separate browser window.
