This section describes the field types used in Sitecore.

Used to provide users with the functionality which allows them to attach files and download them.

Use for data that can be only one of two possible values, such as Yes/No, True/False, On/Off.

Use for dates and times.

Use for links to files in the media library.

Creates a field that contains HTML.

This field is mostly used in the sitecore web interfaces or modules which run in Sitecore.

Use to integrate other pages into Sitecore client.

Use for images.

Use for links to internal Items. Only internal Sitecore Items can be selected as target Items.

Use for Layouts.

Use for different kinds of links.

Use to create a field that allows a user to choose a value from a drop-down list of Items.

Use for lengthy text and numbers, such as notes or descriptions.

Use to create a field that allows a user to select multiple values from a list of Items.

Use to create a field which allows a user to select an Item from a content tree.

Creates a field that contains rich text HTML formatted text.

This field type is designed to be used internally by Sitecore Client.

Use for links to local server files.

Use to create a field which allows a user to select an Item from a content tree.

This field is a combination of a multilist and a tree field.

Use for data which can be one of three possible values, such as Yes/No/Default, Positive/Negative/Neutral, On/Off/Stand By.

Use to create a field which allows a user to choose a value from a drop-down list of Items.
