Configuring route endpoints

You can configure the route endpoints for synchronization.

The Sitecore items that are located under the /sitecore/Commerce/Dynamics Routing Extensions/Commerce Endpoints allow you to set the output folders for the synchronization process. The working directory contains the most recent synchronization file that is imported into the Commerce Server catalog. The archive directory stores previous synchronization files.

The File System endpoint can be used in scenarios where extractions from Dynamics Retail are first pushed into a file system. A separate process is then used to move the files into the next step. This is useful when the source Dynamics AX system and the destination Sitecore system are located in differently-accessable environments, and a file-based hand-off is needed.
