Edge Catalog

Abstract

An Edge Catalog is a catalog designed to be directly accessible by a storefront for retrieving and displaying catalogs, categories and products.

An Edge Catalog is used to store and retrieve products, as well as feed indexes. The Sitecore Commerce Server catalog subsystem is used as an Edge Catalog to take advantage of existing and future integration investments between Sitecore Commerce Server and Sitecore.

Note

An Edge Catalog is read-only. All catalog, category, and product data is managed in Dynamics AX. The data from Dynamics AX is used as the source for all Edge Catalog data.
