Getting Started with Sitecore powered by Commerce Server

This guide covers the steps to set up the Sitecore Reference Storefront for Sitecore Commerce powered by Commerce Server (SCpbCS). The guide is broken into five sections:

  1. Step 1: Set up Sitecore and Commerce Server. This section covers the steps to set up Sitecore, and then install and configure Commerce Server.
  2. Step 2: Install Sitecore Packages. This section covers the Sitecore package installations and configurations that are used to set up communication between the website and Commerce Server.
  3. Step 3: Set up a Commerce Server site. This section covers the steps to create and secure the Commerce Server site, and import the catalog, inventory, profile, and orders data for the site.
  4. Step 4: Final Configurations. This section covers the steps to configure your Commerce Server installation.
  5. Appendices. This section covers additional information needed to configure your Commerce Server installation.

Prerequisites:

This guide assumes you are performing a single server installation of all components. The computer for Reference Storefront should only be installed with MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server.

Required files:

Before starting, be sure to download the following file: Reference Storefront for Sitecore Commerce powered by Commerce Server The download file will have a name such as Sitecore.Reference.Storefront.for.SCpbCS.8.*.*.*.zip. This file contains a number of Sitecore packages and Commerce Server files needed for set up. Unzip the file to a location that will be convenient for you.
